Alexander Yanov is a historian (currently studying the Russian opposition from its inception) and a prominent expert in the field of Russian nationalism. Professor Yanov has taught at the University of California in Berkeley, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and the City University of New York. He is author of twenty books translated into many languages, including After Yeltsin: Weimar Russia? (1995), which gave the name to a new research area in historical science in the West. From 2007 to 2009, New Chronograph Publishing released the three-volume culmination of his research, Russia and Europe: 1492–1921.
