The film presents a powerful narrative about Russia's retreat from democracy during Putin's reign. It features interviews with Katrina Lantos Swett, Pavel Khodorkovsky, Elie Wiesel, Lyudmila Alekseyeva, Karinna Moskalenko, Arseny Roginsky and Yulia Latynina.
